With the aim to enter a list of the Top 30 highly developed countries in the world by the year 2050, Kazakhstan is on the way of developing a transparent and effective business culture that is attractive for international companies, including Swedish ones, for establishing themselves and achieve their full international potential.
In 2015 Swedish export to Kazakhstan amounted to SEK 670 million, and consisted mostly of electrical, electronic equipment, machinery, pumps for liquids, boilers, iron and steel, tools, implements, cutlery, others of metal base equipment. Swedish companies actively operating in Kazakhstan represented in major sectors of the economy – telecommunications, agriculture and food processing, mining, healthcare, transport, power.
The West Sweden Kazakhstan Industry Council is the first-choice network for growing business between West Sweden and Kazakhstan. We provide a platform for direct business network contacts, building relations and a space for close engagement for member community.

- West Sweden Kazakhstan Industry Council ss a business group of several members, both companies and individuals. Our vision is to support and promote the community in West Sweden and its business interests in Kazakhstan and to encourage relations between Sweden and the Kazakhstan.
- The members are active in different platforms, linking members together within the same sector or with mutual interests in different topics related to doing business with and in Kazakhstan.
- We shall create contacts with relevant trade associations, business intermediaries and companies in both countries in order to encourage business and trade between Sweden and Kazakhstan.
